So many guys asked today for the hover tag, so I will give you a short explanation.
First download the male or female .fbx model from the Sansar website: https://help.sansar.com/hc/en-us/articles/115003692623-Avatar-attachments-accessories- (scroll down)
Open your Blender and IMPORT the .fbx model.
You will see it in the object mode.
Press SHIFT and A - add a TEXT.
Go to the edit mode, delete the 4 letters and write your Name.
If you want to change the font go to the Text Tab (the F icon on the right side) and navigate your Font folder.
You have to extrude your text, set the value to 0.03 or like you want.
Go into the object mode and press ALT and C to make a MESH from your text.
Navigate to the material tab, press NEW and assign the material in the EDIT MODE.
If you give the material a diffuse color (click the white area below the preview), so you will see that color in game after baking. I used Barbie pink, hehe.
Now we have to unwrap our text.
Open a new window and search in the drop down menu the UV/IMAGE EDITOR
and create a new texture.
Unwrap your model in EDIT MODE with pressing U and choose Smart UV project.
(press first A to select all)
Now bake your texture. Navigate to the Icon with the camera, scroll down to bake and choose Ambient Occlusion.
Now it is important, that you move your name tag in the EDIT MODE above the head model.
Export the mesh as .fbx and save the image as png. (the fbx uploader works only with png)
Yeah! It was easy!
So, how can you add your new tag to your avatar?
Navigate to MY LOOKS and choose CUSTOMIZE.
You will find the ACCESSORIES button in the right corner and I picked the glasses icon.
Go to ADD ATTACHEMENT and you will see the fbx uploader.
Browse to your nametag.fbx and you´ll get a new blue MATERIALS SETTINGS button.
You see 2 materials - one from the text, second from the model body.
I uploaded for both the same texture. (my way, lol)
We´re done!! Congrats!
