Wie richte ich einen OpenSim ein?

Du gehst auf die Webseite : http://www.openlifegrid.com/opensimdownload.aspx

Dor lädst du von der Webseite in der Mitte unten die Sim herunter

Nach dem herunterladen entpackst du die ZIP Datei

Der Ordner heisst dann: "Standallone3038"

In dem Ordner klickst du auf "OpenSim.exe" ...

Es erscheint ein DOS Fenster in dem die Sim (Virtueller Server) ausgeführt wird (Das dauert beim ersten mal etwas länger weil beim erstaufruf die Sim erst generiert wird). Dieses Fenster lässt du dann offen , das ist deine SIM!

Als nächstes erstellst du eine Verknüpfung auf deinem Desctop zu deinem SL Viewer. (Rechte Maustaste auf den Desctop , dann auf Neu und dann auf Verknüpfung)
Nach dem du die Verknüpfung erstellt hast gehst du mit der recheten Maustaste auf die verknüpfung und rufst die Eigenschaften auf.

In den Eigenschaften steht der Pfad zum verknüpften Viewer (Beispiel: C:SecondlifeSecondLife.exe)

Dahinter schreibst du einfach: -loginuri http://127.0.0.2:9000

Der Pfad muss nachher so aussehen dann:
C:SecondlifeSecondLife.exe -loginuri http://127.0.0.2:9000

Dann kannst du die Eigenschaften schliessen und nen Doppelklick auf die Verknüpfung machen.

Jetzt geht dein ganz normaler SL Viewer auf ... dort gibst du als Name, Nachname und passwort folgendes ein:

Name = Test
Nachname = User
Passwort = Password

Damit müsste schon alles funzen und du kannst dich in deinen eigenen Sim einloggen!

Achja , solltet ihr schon beim Klicken auf die OpenSim.exe eine Fehlermeldung bekommen, müsst ihr zuerst von der Seite www.microsoft.com das Programm .net framework herunterladen.

Spätestens danach sollte alles klappen und ihr habe eine eigene Sim auf eurem Rechner zuhause mit 65000qm Land und eigenen 15000 Prims zum bebauen Wink
 
Nun habe dieses Procedere einige male detailgenau und Schritt für Schritt nachgemacht,
aber sobald ich nach Eingabe von Test-User-Password auf Connect klicke,
bekomme ich immer dieselbe Fehlermeldung:
Unable to connect to Second Life.
Despite our best efforts, something unexpected has gone wrong.
Please check www.secondlife.com/status
to see if there is a known problem with the service.

netframe 2.0 ist installiert
DOS-fenster ist offen
normales Login ohne jedwelcher Änderungen sofort möglich mit Windlight
und normalem Client.
Allerdings habe ich den Verdacht, das es an SP2 liegen könnte,
denn das hab ich nicht installiert - nur XPpro und SP1.

Verknüpfung im Desktopicon sieht so aus:
C:\Programme\SecondLife\SecondLife.exe -set SystemLanguage de -multiple -loginuri http://127.0.0.2:9000

Auch mit dieser Verknüpfung funzt es nicht:
C:\Programme\SecondLife\SecondLife.exe -loginuri http://127.0.0.2:9000

Habe ich irgendwas irgendwo noch übersehen?

die Shortcuts sollten aber so aussehen :

Funzt auch mit dieser Verknüpfung nicht - selbe Fehlermeldung, eben probiert.

Achja, keine Ahnung ob das richtig ist, aber die letzte Zeile nach der Öffnung und
dem Ablauf des DOS-Fensters lautet:

Ich hatte bei Vista zuerst auch ein Problem, welches sich in der DOS-Box wie folgt äussert:

Die blaue Schrift ist in der DOS-Box kaum zu entziffern, deswegen mal genauer hinschauen, ob nicht irgendwo ein Fehler auftaucht.

Unter Vista muss man OpenSim als Administrator ausführen, damit o.a. Fehler nicht mehr auftritt, für XP hab ich jedoch keinen entsprechenden Hinweis gefunden.

Ich bin Admina auf meinem Rechner und habe auch keine anderen Benutzer drauf.
 
Die Fehlermeldung sagt mir leider nichts. Interessanter wäre, wo genau der Fehler auftritt.

Im DOS-Fenster Text markieren:

In der Kopfleiste ganz links klicken, dann im Menü "Bearbeiten" "Markieren" auswählen, Text mit Maus markieren und mit Enter kopieren. Mittels STRG + V wie gehabt als Text einkopieren.

Die OpenSim muss auf eine Datei im Internet zugreifen ... ich denke das deine Firewall oder ein anderes Programm das verhindert!

Firewall? Warum kann ich dann mit allen anderen Second Life Clienten joinen?
Liegts etwa an Inode, meinem Provider, meiner Kabelverbindung, an Österreich,
am Hunger in der Dritten Welt oder hat gestern in China ein Ölscheich seine
Frau verhauen weil sie das Wasser hat anbrennen lassen? :roll:

Ich sollte die Finger davon lassen und warten bis es was Fertiges gibt. :wink:

Das sieht doch gut, also der Server läuft. Ich denke es liegt an dem Client, oder an der Verbindung. Laufen Server und Client auf einem Rechner? Wenn ja, bloß nich die IP-Adressen ändern, das hatte ich mit aladin, dass man danach nur noch von ausserhalb zugreifen kann.
Wenn die aber auf unterschiedlilchen PCs laufen, dann unbedingt die IP-Adressen in der /Regions/default.xml ändern. Und zwar in die IP-Adresse der Netzwerkkarte, über die man sich einloggen will. Fängt bei Privaten Netzen mit 192.168. an. Falls nich geht sprich mich noch mal direkt an. Dann helf ich dir notfalls auch per Skype, oder wegen mir auch mit ts*seufz* ;-)

Guten Morgen Feith...
Die Log ist von meinem Heimrechner wo ich das Dingens versuche zum laufen zu kriegen.
Ich habe nur eine IP und hänge an einem Kabelmodem mit einer xDsl 6000er.
Ich bin Admina auf meinem Rechner, niemand hat sonst Zugang oder Rechte
und ans normal SL komm ich ran und an diese Opensim ned?
Ich verstehs einfach nimma :?

Was könnte ich in der Firewall rumwuseln? Dort steht nichtmal was von SL aktuell.

Naja, und solange ich das ned fertig und auf die Reihe kriege, lasse ich den Rootserver
erstmal aussen vor, sonst vermurkse ich da nochwas und dann hängen mich
meine Jungs hoch 13, wenn die Rennserver tot sind :oops:
